No Doubt
When it comes to life and living I have done quite a bit. Husband, father, combat vet (Vietnam), rapscallion first class, dolt, more than I would like to admit, and all around lover of learning. What I have learned from all this is that I am severely limited in grace under stress. I could probably say the same about dang near everyone. I drank like a fish for a couple of decades and finally got over that without the need for meetings or help. I figured that if I passed out in the afternoon watching the news it was probably time to call it quits. That’s what happens when you are having oodles of fun.

With college and combat far in the rear view mirror I decided to relearn a lot that I had never known as far as computer servers. This was after passing out watching the news, in case you’re wondering. It was actually worse than that but why would I bother you with my stupidity? Later on I took a fancy to figuring out how computers worked as servers which bring all this garbage, or wonders, to each of us on a daily basis. Perhaps minute by minute for you?
I went ahead and tried A.I. while I was at it but I’m not overly enamored with A.I. I have it now as a portion of programs that came on this computer and haven’t tried this particular one out. I have tried Copilot, Chat GPT and a few others and not a one can put together a tutorial for installing software that I couldn’t do a better job with all by my lonesome. To each his own.
The FX for this website is about what I love to do and working with computers is a large part of it. I will say, guiltily, that I have five computers, two of which are Macs, the rest PCs. Yes, I use them all for different things and programming is the reason for two of them. I first got used to computers in the late 60s and early 70s of last century. They controlled our radar screens in the war zone of Vietnam. Talk about an old codger! Perhaps you were not aware that computers, wirleless between ships, was used back then. All very classified and hush-hush. If you would care to see a few things I’ve put together with all this computer stuff, go here. These are tutorials for software I have put together over there in case you’d like to try your hand (computer?) at putting up a website for yourself. They all work but you have to know what you’re doing. Linux and terminal are required but knowledge is readily available on line. Go ahead, try some thing new!
So, this is the page I’ve put off writing for a couple of months and only one outbound link. I will get to a few more pages as I have time or impetus to write. Take good care of yourselves, no one else will.
